3.2 Development of maritime transport, inland waterways and multimodal connections

 · Projects for the construction and reconstruction of intermodal terminals, in particular those located in the TEN-T network, including necessary infrastructure (including access infrastructure), as well as the purchase of necessary equipment and specialised rolling stock adapted for intermodal loading, semitrailers or trucks.

Projects for the construction and reconstruction of intermodal terminals, in particular those located in the TEN-T network, including necessary infrastructure (including access infrastructure), as well as the purchase of necessary equipment and specialized rolling stock adapted for intermodal loading, semitrailers or trucks whole.

Investments will not cover repair work and will not cover current maintenance of infrastructure.

EU funding can benefit from the following types of projects:

  • construction or reconstruction of intermodal terminals infrastructure, including terminals located in logistic centers and seaports, including dedicated rail infrastructure (including sidings) / roads necessary for their inclusion in the railway network / road network * together with the necessary terminal construction / remodeling of external devices;
  • purchase or modernization of equipment necessary for the operation of intermodal terminals, in particular for lifting and other handling equipment, shunting locomotives;
  • purchase or modernization of telematic and satellite systems (equipment and software) related to intermodal transport as well as expenditure on their implementation;
  • purchase or modernization of rolling stock, including traction locomotives and specialized intermodal transport wagons (platforms).

It is possible to implement projects integrating the above mentioned.

Rate of co-financing and conditions

Maximum level of EU co-financing of eligible expenditure at project level – 50%.

Other important information

It is possible to report on projects with only access infrastructure. However, the signing of grant agreements for those projects that will be positively assessed will be possible after obtaining the European Commission’s consent to change the relevant provisions in OPI & E under the OPI & E 2014-2020 revision procedure.

Minimum value of eligible expenditure of the project: 10 000 000,00 PLN. For Type 1 projects involving exclusively dedicated rail infrastructure (including sidings) / roads).
