Romanian Maritime Training Centre – CERONAV is a self-financed public national institution subordinated to the Romanian Ministry of Transport, set up in 1976 and providing training courses for seafarers, river, port and offshore rig personnel.

CERONAV has an experience of over 40 years in waterborne training and its international recognition as leading center in the South East Europe is based on the constant development and delivery of specialized courses for nautical personnel matching the ever changing requirements of the market.
CERONAV provides more than 80 types of courses, under STCW 2010 and beyond, for approximately 40,000 trainees per year. CERONAV’s portfolio also includes qualification courses for young people in search of a job in the maritime and inland navigation field or people taking up professional reconversion to seamen, boatmen, fitters etc.

CERONAV possesses the most performant Navigation Simulator in the Black Sea basin, as well as other four state-of-the-art simulators (Naval Machines, Liquid Cargo, HUET and GMDSS), modern training facilities (GMDSS lab, ECDIS generic and type-specific equipped classroom, MARLINS testing dedicated classroom), a practical training campus (fire-fighting, boat-davits and rescue boats, training-pool, etc.) in Constanta and an Information and Training Centre in Galati specialized in training of inland nautical personnel.
