Hungarian Federation of Danube Ports

The business federation of Hungarian Danube Ports, namely the Hungarian Federation of Danube Ports was set up on 25th of May, 2012 at Budapest.

The objectives of Hungarian Federation of Ports are; the independent business represents and promotes the common interests and veiws of Hungarian inland ports on national and international levels, not only on industry but also on government level, which are considering issues and initiatives facing ports. Furthermore collecting and supplying professional information for members, promote public awarness in order to understand the ports’ contribution to national and regional development. The federation also organises meetings, conferences and professional trainings for sharing information and expertise in order to encourage the development of efficent practices.
In addition, HFIP has made the general conditions of providing exceptionally good and consistent port services throughout the members’ ports.

The constitution meeting has elected again the founder capt. Béla Szalma as President, who is currently the General Manager of Centroport Ltd,
László Nagy – General Manager of Port of Baja – as secretary, and Zita Haiszer – Commercial Director of PaksPort – act as treasurer.

The 26 ports has accepted the goals of the federation with member cooperation and activities in order to reach the set objectives.
